Annual meeting and Board Member Nominations

The annual meeting for the Calumet Hockey Association will be Tuesday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor of the Calumet Colosseum.  

 

Anyone intersted in running for the Calumet Hockey Association Board this year should send an email to cmjudnich@yahoo.com or call/text 906-369-4408 by Friday, April 14th to submit your name. 

 

Requirements to qualify for election to the Calumet Hockey Association Board of Directors are: One must have had a USA Hockey registration number for 2 of the past 5 years and volunteered within the Calumet Hockey Association.   

Voting for the 2023-2024 Board will occur at the April meeting.  Voting is limited to 1 vote per family regardless of the number of players registered or multiple qualifying memberships within the family.  Votes must be cast in person at the meeting.

Congrats to the Copper Range Roofing 8U

The Copper Range Roofing 8U team are the 8U Betty Beckman Champs!

Team members are as follows: Wyatt Hunter, Emmett Codere, Niko Laho, Henrik Hampton, Lee Madosh, Finn Bastian, James Perala, Micah Jukuri, Jacob Luokkanen, and Caleb Jeannotte. Their coaches are Chris Codere and Travis Perala

2022-2023 Calumet Hockey Association Board Meetings

The Calumet Hockey Association board meetings will take place on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Calumet Colosseum Ballroom

Introducing Calumet Hockey Association Mites Play Free Program

The Calumet Hockey Association is thrilled to announce that this year, there will very exciting changes to our hockey programs.

This year, we are eliminating fees for all Mite Division players; this includes all players in both the 6U and 8U Mite divisions. Eligible  players must live in CLK or Lake Linden School districts and born after 2011.

Interested? Here is important information about CHA Mite Hockey

Mites are FREE!

Mites will not be schedule for practice before 10:00 AM on Saturday

Mites will not be scheduled for practice before noon on Sunday (Mites rarely practice on Sunday at all after the Gipp Arena is open around Thanksgiving)

Mites will have 2-3 one hour practices per week

We are working on ways to help find equipment for players in need - All players need: helmet, neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, hockey pants, athletic cup, shin pads, hockey socks, and, or course skates and a stick.

Young players needn't know how to skate.

The Calumet Hockey Association and Calumet Township, owner of the historic Calumet Colosseum, cannot express our thanks enough for the support received in making us Kraft Hockeyville for 2019.  

Just the nomination and voting experience alone is a reminder to us all of what a great community we are fortunate enough to call home.   Winning it all....priceless.
